The Shotgun is the most-used weapon in ranked play because most maps have tight corridors. At point-blank range all pellets connect for 80 damage, enough to one-shot most opponents. Past 15 meters only 2-3 pellets land, so it falls off hard.
Close-range duels and corridor maps. Pair it with a mid-range gun for a loadout that covers everything.
Don't reload in the open. The Shotgun punishes whiffed shots, so peek, fire, and duck back into cover between blasts.
